Financial accountability one-on-one support!
We are excited to introduce you to Andy- our new Financial Literacy Coach! Andy is a Business Administration and Accounting student who will be joining the Friends of the Federation of Calgary Communities this summer to provide one-on-one financial literacy support to our members who have been affected by COVID-19. As a Financial Literacy Coach, Andy will be here to offer you the support and guidance you need to understand financial accounting concepts, understand financial statements – such as cash flows and budgeting – and answer any questions you may have in regards to resources available during this COVID-19 pandemic. These services will be offered through one-on-one support sessions, virtual workshops, and tip sheets. If you are interested in signing up for a one-on-one session, send Andy an email at and he will get in touch with you as soon as he can. Learn more about Andy by clicking here.

Neighbour Day 2020 Scavenger Hunt!
Neighbour Day is on Saturday, June 20, and while it might look a little different this year, we are excited to celebrate it! Working with the Sunalta Community Association and the City of Calgary, along with feedback from some of our other members, we have developed a scavenger hunt activity card for you to promote to your residents! The City of Calgary is currently finalizing the activity and it will be available on their website by clicking here the week of June 1. We will send out communications as soon as it is available along with sample social media and website content to help you get the message out! We also hope you will consider changing your outdoor sign, if you have one, to engage with residents who are not connected online! We want everyone celebrating Neighbour Day using this exciting scavenger hunt card- all while practicing safe physical distancing! Let’s show everyone the power of Calgary’s community association network!
