Public Notification Enhancement / Co-Design Workshop

Throughout 2025, the City of Calgary’s Innovation Lab in collaboration with Planning & Development Services have conducted research on how Calgarians are informed about upcoming urban development projects and what information is most important to receive.
We are now ready to design new ways of “Keeping Neighbours in the Know” and we need your help.
We are holding an Ideation & Brainstorming Workshop with Community Association Representatives to gain the perspective of members actively engaged in their communities.

Topic: Public Notification Enhancement / Co-Design Workshop
Where: City of Calgary Innovation Lab, Located on the first floor of the City of Calgary Municipal Building (City Hall)
When: Saturday October 25th, 2025, from 9 am to 12 noon
Capacity: 30 people maximum
Pre-requisite: No previous design experience is necessary

What can I expect at this workshop?
The purpose of the workshop is to generate ideas on what new ways of “Keeping Neighbours in the Know” might look like.
At the workshop, the Innovation Lab will present the research findings, themes, and insights, and host guided brainstorming activities. The results of the workshop activities will directly influence the design of new solutions for Calgarians.
