Create a beautiful community place with some ambient string lighting! Whether you’re adding it to a hall, brightening up the outdoors or creating a new community hub, string lighting can help you create warm, welcoming and inclusive places for communities to gather.

Before You apply

  • You may apply for up to $500 for Market Lighting.
  • Only plug in market lighting is eligible. Our grant does not cover solar options.
  • You may only apply for one of these three grant streams per year: Appliances, Rink/Outdoor Lighting, or String Lighting.

How to apply

You can apply for up to 100% of the cost of your project to a maximum of $500 per application.

After the Application

Do not purchase your market lighting until you have received your approval letter.

  1. Once you have a signed grant agreement, purchase your market lights. 
  2. Submit your receipts & proof of purchase. We reimburse all submitted receipts at the end of each month.
  3. Tell us how your new lights are impacting your community! Send us a photo of the lights, and at least one photo of a program or activity that has benefited from the lighting.
