Rink & Security Lighting Application
Energizing Spaces powered by ENMAX aims to replace old and inefficient lighting with energy-efficient options.
Before You apply
- You may apply for up to $10,000 for rink and security lighting.
- New security lighting requests will be considered. However, replacing EXISTING lighting will be given priority.
- Gas lighting is not eligible for this grant.
- You must use the Federation's choosen contractor. No cash substitute will be available.
How it works

Review your organizations eligibility, and receive board approval.

We need to understand what your project would require. For lighting projects, please include the number, type and wattage of the bulbs in your application. For new projects, please indicate that they are new on your application.
We DO NOT require a quote from an electrician. We’ve contracted Acre Electric to provide quotes for shortlisted projects, and they will also be contracted to do the installation work for approved projects.
3.
Wait for a response.
The selection committee will send you a letter to inform you of the status of your application. You DO NOT need to contract an electrician. The Federation has contracted Acre Electric to do the work for all approved projects.

Open your door, and we'll do the rest
You won’t have any bills or planning fuss. We will contact you and coordinate your lighting installation with Acre Electric.
5.
Tell us about it!
Provide us with a photo of your new outdoor or security lighting, photos of at least one program or service that benefits from the new lighting and a small write-up outlining how your new outdoor lighting is impacting your organization and community!
