The Guide for Small-Scale Housing – Education Session

The City of Calgary, the Guide for Small-Scale Housing project team will be joining the Federation of Calgary Communities to host a virtual education session on Tuesday August 26th, 2025. This education session purpose is to provide information and clarity on how to provide feedback and how to access other shared material on The Guide’s website.

At the education session, The City team will walk the attendees through the following topics:

1. Brief overview of The Guide
2. How to Provide Feedback
3. The Areas of Focus for The Guide
4. The engagement questions
5. Project Timelines; and
6. Next steps

The session will end with a question period for the attendees.

Please Note: This session will be recorded to be shared with the Federation’s network and the City of Calgary Engage portal.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

We’re creating The Guide for Small-Scale Housing: Rowhouse, Townhouse and Front-Back Semi-detached Development (“The Guide”) – a resource to support the thoughtful design of rowhouses, townhouses and front-back semi-detached homes in Calgary’s developed communities. This will help ensure new developments are well-designed, sustainable and fit into Calgary neighbourhoods.
