How do Calgarians feel about skateboard/sportramps on private residential properties?

After consulting with Calgarians, The City is reporting back and considering Land Use and Community Standards Bylaw amendments at the Standing Policy Committee on Community and Protective Services on June 1, 2016. The agenda will be available on May 27, 2016. The meeting is open to the public and there is an opportunity to participate.

The committee’s recommendations are anticipated to be brought forward to the June 13, 2016 City Council meeting.

Once directed by Council, Land Use Bylaw amendments will go forward to the Calgary Planning Commission and then to Council for a public hearing.

Amendments to the Community Standards Bylaw are still being developed. Amendments may list sports ramps with other activities restricted in residential areas at night. This could be from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends.
