Watch Out! The Grandparent Scam is Back
Unfortunately, the grandparent scam is back. This is a scam that is specifically used to target seniors. The scammer will call a senior and pretend to be their grandchild. Callers will have a panicked tone in their voice and ask for a minute of your time, the scammer will tell seniors they have been hurt, are in jail or that they need money now. To protect yourself and loved ones, make sure you don’t give any personal information, ask questions, and after you hang up, call another family to confirm the story. Click here for more information on the scam.
