ENMAX Energizing Spaces Fund Applications

Since the launch of the program, over 100 aging appliances have been replaced with more energy efficient models and 10 outdoor rinks have received much needed lighting upgrades. Vital City
On October 22, 2020, at 12:00 pm, the Calgary Foundation will be holding its Virtual Vital City event. This year’s vital city will be hosted online. The event will feature a discussion on anti-racism and racial justice in Calgary and the charitable community. Click here for more information.

1. CITIZENS+STUDENTS Project applications are open!
Since 2013, the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape (SAPL) Master of Planning Program at the University of Calgary and the Federation of Calgary Communities have worked together to support Community Associations (CAs) in their decision-making process around land use and development issues. 2. Partners in Planning
Heritage planning is an exciting topic and there’s a lot to talk about, so much so, that we’ve added another Partners in Planning (PIP) session on Heritage! Join City planners on December 5 at 9:00 am to learn about the tools that are used for heritage preservation. If you would like to attend, your registration is required. To sign up, click the link above. Please note: If you attended the PIP session on October 3, you do not need to attend this one in order to complete the “elective” requirement to receive your PIP certificate.
3. Municipal Development Plan & Calgary Transportation Plan – Proposed Plans
The Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Calgary Transportation Plan (CTP) are Calgary’s long-range land use and transportation plans. Did you know that these documents have recently undergone revisions? The proposed documents were recently presented to the Standing Policy Commission (SPC) on Planning and Urban Development on October 7 and were approved. To check out the minutes from the presentation, click the link above. The documents will now be presented to Council on November 2.
4. Neighbourhood Street Improvements
Do you live or travel along 14 & 15 Avenue S.W in the Beltline? The City of Calgary is conducting engagement to improve movement along these roads and is looking for feedback. You can find the online engagement here.
Also, if you use the intersection at 21 St. & 33 Ave. SW in Marda Loop, the City is looking to improve this intersection. You can find the online engagement for that project here.
