Featured Faces of the Community
May’s featured Face is Bob Lang. Bob has been an integral part of the Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association for over 35 years. He first got his involved because of a proposed development that had an immediate impact on him. Through that he learned that the community association was a great way to accomplish many things in the community. Bob has played a key role in many exciting initiatives, not only in his community, but also throughout the city of Calgary. When asked why he thinks it’s important to volunteer for your community, Bob says, “You accomplish so much more working together rather than trying to do things alone.” Watch Bob share his story here

Community partners in Calgary are working collaboratively to prevent and address elder abuse in our communities. To raise public awareness about this issue, they have put together a support resource card to be shared. You can also contact Roda, at rodas@immigrantservicescalgary.ca, to get short descriptions and info to use in your organization’s communications.
