Featured Face of Community
From now until next March, we will be featuring one of our 2018 Faces of Community every month. This month’s feature is Ali McMillan! Ali is the Planning Director with the Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association. She got involved with the organization three years ago when she moved to Calgary and wanted a way to meet her neighbours and learn more about where she lives. Ali’s contribution to not only her community, but Calgary as a whole, in the past three years has been inspiring to say the least! Read more of Ali’s story here and watch her YouTube feature here.

AGLC Liquor Licenses Now Online
Back in November 2017, AGLC launched an online application portal to make the process of purchasing and applying for a liquor license easy and convenient. Did you know that there are two types of special event liquor licenses? There are private non-sale and private resale. First, to clarify, a private event is a function that is only open to members and invited guests, this event is not open to the general public. A private non-sale license is for an event where guests do not pay for liquor or for their admission to the event; whereas a private resale licence is for an event where guests must pay for liquor or their admission. The cost for a private non-sale licence is $10 and private resale license is $25. For more information and to apply for an liquor license online, click here.
