Faces of Community Event – March 2

You’re invited to the kick-off of March Community Association Awareness Month with us on Friday, March 2 at the Southview Community Association! We will enjoy wine and light refreshments, celebrate the community association movement and its hard-working volunteers, and reveal the 2018 Faces of Community! Don’t miss out – register now here.

1 week until the ActivateYYC deadline on February 5!
Don’t delay, apply today! Here are 5 tips to help you with your application:

  1. Apply soon! There’s only enough funding for 8 projects per ward, so make sure your community is one of them!
  2. Call us and tell us your idea – We can help you with your application, answer any questions, and give you advice about permits or permissions.
  3. Be aware of the ActivateYYC guidelines, which can be found here.
  4. Find your partners! They can be a community association, non-profit organization, or a business.
*You need a partner organization for insurance reasons and so we can send them a reimbursement cheque.

Calgaryarea.com Webpages
Have you visited your calgaryarea.com community webpage recently to see if the information is current and up-to-date? Calgaryarea.com used to be the provider of many community association websites. Now that most of you have your own websites, the site links to your website but still provides information on your community, your facility details, community newsletter, and social media accounts. Have a look at your community’s page here. If you want anything changed all you have to do is email online@calgaryarea.com.
