Pink Shirt Day Alberta On Wednesday, February 27th, schools and organizations from across Canada will wear pink to support bullying prevention awareness, education and programs. This years Pink Shirt Day Alberta 2019 theme is “Choose Kindness.” You can take part by wearing a pink shirt on February 27th and joining the conversation online with the hashtags: #ChooseKindness #PinkShirtDay #EndBullyingAB #StandTogether. You can also check out Antyx Community Arts free event open to youth ages 12-22 which will include fun activities, sessions, food and guest speakers. |
Calgary Foundation’s Jane’s Walk: May 3-5 Jane’s Walk is a global festival of free neighbourhood walking tours held in Calgary and around the world each May. Jane Jacobs was passionate about community and city life. If you have similar passions, why not LEAD a Jane’s Walk this year? Share your stories, insights and ideas of your favourite part of Calgary! Elementary school students, seniors’ clubs, architects, refugee support agencies, artists, urban planners, Indigenous educators, ecologists, and people who make their living through bottle picking have all led Jane’s Walks in Calgary. Jane’s Walks are fun, free, and informative and depend entirely on volunteers. If you want to volunteer as a walk leader, click here! |

Destratification Fans Rebate The Business Energy Savings program of Energy Efficiency Alberta is currently offering non-profits and other businesses up to $1500 in rebate for each destratification fan with over 20 feet in diameter installed in their facilities. Destratification fans help reduce up to 30% heating costs by mixing warm and cold air at the top and bottom in a facility. Click here to get started. |

Family End of Summer Celebration ActivateYYC hopes you had a great Family Day! What better way to celebrate family than to remind ourselves of all the fun that was had at the Family End of Summer Celebration hosted by the Ranchlands Community Association (RCA).
