The City is moving forward with amendments to the land use bylaw to enable ‘targeted grazing’. This would allow goats to graze on City-owned lands in order to manage weeds and grass without need for a development permit. Targeted grazing would provide an alternative to using herbicide.

The City hosted an open house in November and found a high level of support from the public and stakeholders.

A report will be reviewed by Council on June 1st, 2017 and the Federation will post updates as needed.
