Key Messages for Infill Development
- Overarching idea regarding infill development is that established communities evolve (they grow and change, and are not static).
- City promotes infilling that is sensitive, compatible and complementary to the existing physical patterns and character of neighbourhoods.
- What we are trying to define are the elements of character and sensitive development that we can integrate and measure.
- We will build on these elements to establish a vision (outcome) for the future of the community.
- Determine the appropriate policies, guidelines and technical solutions to promote new development that moves the community towards this vision.
