We get to spend a whole month showcasing these volunteer-run organizations that offer so much to our city.

This year, as way to celebrate the hard work and dedication of community associations, we have connected with our community partners and supporters to bring awareness to the great work community associations do and how YOU can be part of it to help make Calgary’s communities that much better.

If you don't know what your community association is up to, click here to find your community.

This page will be constantly updated throughout the month, so come make sure to check back!

What's going on this month?

The Faces of Community

What we often hear is that Calgarians don't know that community associations are run by their neighbours and other volunteers in their community.

As a way to highlight and showcase the many different faces of community volunteers, we connected with local photographer Kelly Hofer, and captured the Faces of Community.

Get to know the Faces of Community through our portrait series here!

How Will YOU Be Part of It?

We want to hear from you! Take time this month to explore your community, find out what your community association has to offer you, take part in a program, purchase a membership, do something for a neighbour, or volunteer for a community event!

Also, tell us why you love your community and post on Twitter and Facebook (don’t forget to tag us!). You can create a vlog like the ones above or share photos and stories about why you think your community is so awesome.

Be creative, share your message, and don’t forget to include the hashtag #howwillYOUbepartofit
