Decent housing is a human right. But many Calgarians struggle to afford this basic need. How can this dire situation be explained? Why is it difficult to provide affordable housing in Calgary? What are the political tensions around affordable housing supply? Can affordable housing be compatible with a market-based approach ? What are the residents' perception of about affordable housing? What strategies and successful initiatives exist and can be replicated to enhance the supply of affordable housing?
