Want to learn more about Infills and construction? We are hosting a FREE workshop on the Infill Construction Collaboration Program to understand how the different departments  at the City of Calgary work together on infill construction. The Infill Construction Collaboration Program is an inter discipline group at the City of Calgary who provide a coordinated  approach on infills as it relates to construction.  Representative departments include:

  • Building Regulations-Safety Response Unit (SRU)
  • Water Services
  • Roads
  • Traffic
  • Urban Forestry
  • Community Services (Bylaw)
  • Development Inspections Services

The goals of the ICCP are to:

  • Provide a coordinated approach to providing on site education, identify potentially unsafe conditions, conduct comprehensive joint reviews, inspections and/or investigations of these sites.
  • Ensure owners of new construction projects understand and are educated in the various codes, bylaws and regulations.
  • Works collaboratively to mitigate the risk found on identified sites.
  • Identifies and advocates improvements and changes to applicable legislation
  • Proactively approaches future development owners based on data related to development and building permits
  • Utilizes a communication plan to effectively provide information to internal and external stakeholders

Time: 6-8 pm
