BREAKING NEWS!

Info Session: City of Calgary Updates on Provincial Flood Zone Maps

The Province has just released drafts of updated Flood Hazard Area maps for communities across Alberta, including Calgary. The new approach to flood hazard mapping reflects key investments in flood mitigation, which result in lower flood risks for many areas in Calgary.

Flood Hazard Area maps are an important tool The City uses to understand flood risk and help inform land use and development decisions. With the new maps and new zone designations, it is now the responsibility of The City to update our land use and development regulations.

Join us for an online information session with The City of Calgary to learn more about updated flood hazard mapping in Calgary and what that means for communities and properties that fall within the flood hazard zone:

Date: Tuesday, February 20, 2024
