Capital Projects 101

Join us for a peer learning opportunity presented by Riverbend Community Association, with key learnings around a recent capital build at their centre. We’ll share a practical walkthrough of tips and resources available throughout all project phases of a capital build: initiation, fund development, construction and monitoring, project closing and of course, celebration! Learn how to navigate complex needs, including engineering consulting and various grants; how basic project management tools can work along way; tips for stable project cash management and financial reporting; and how to keep community engaged and excited about your project even when nothing visible is taking place! Presented by Olga Maciejewski, President of the Riverbend Community Association, and held in-person at the Federation of Calgary Communities’ training room.
