The next draft of the Developed Areas guidebook is now out. To view it, visit: www.calgary.ca and type Developed Areas Guidebook into the search engine or http://www.calgary.ca/PDA/pd/Pages/Current-studies-and-ongoing-activities/Developed-Areas-Guidebook.aspx.The Guidebook only applies to an area undergoing a local area planning process such as the creation of, or significant amendment to, a local area plan (i.e. Area Redevelopment Plan or ARP). The first communities where the Guidebook will apply are those along the South East leg of the Green Line LRT and Main Streets (see www.calgary.ca/greenline and www.calgary.ca/mainstreets for more information on those communities and projects).
The City of Calgary is anticipating a December Calgary Planning Commission (CPC) date and a February 2017 Public Hearing of Council. They are welcoming comments on this draft of the Guidebook until September 12, 2016.
