CLASS (Calgary Local Active Skatepark Stewardship)

Skateboarding is a great way to stay active, but it’s a lot easier to skateboard at a well maintained and clean skatepark! The Calgary Association of Skateboarding Enthusiasts decided to purchase a locking box, as well as supplies to help keep the Huntington Hills skate park clean and usable. The box holds brooms, squeegees and other items that will make maintaining the skate park easier.

On Saturday, August 4, 2018 a group of volunteers got together to set up the box and clean up the skatepark. Unfortunately, it started to rain, but luckily the organizers were able to use one of the squeegees to dry off the skatepark quicker than usual! The $750 ActivateYYC grant went towards the box all the supplies needed to maintain the park.
