Calgary Transit strives to provide safe accessible, and reliable public transportation, and customers have identified reliability and convenience as top priorities for taking transit. The City of Calgary is responding by introducing the NOrth and South Crosstown BRT. Read below for more details on each project.

The North Crosstown BRT which will connect the Brentwood and Saddletowne LRT Stations and benefit transit customers by providing a better customer experience and more reliable, direct service. The North Crosstown BRT project is one of four new BRT projects being implemented by The City. Together, the four projects fill important gaps in the existing transit network, providing direct connections to major destinations, underserviced communities and transit hubs like LRT stations.

The South Crosstown BRT which will connect the Westbrook LRT station and Douglas Glen future Green Line station and benefit transit customers by providing a better customer experience and more reliable, direct service. The South Crosstown BRT project is one of four new BRT projects being implemented by The City. Together, the four projects fill important gaps in the existing transit network, providing direct connections to major destinations, underserviced communities and transit hubs like LRT stations.

Both projects are currently in the detailed design stage, and construction is anticipated to begin in early 2017. To learn more about the current Calgary Transit projects, visit thir page:http://www.calgary.ca/Transportation/TI/Pages/Transit-projects/Transit-projects.aspx
