“The Amazing Race” is a popular TV show that involves contestants solving problems, interacting with locals and navigating spaces as they complete challenges to get to the finish line. So when Mount Pleasant Community Association wanted to engage their community and get people walking, playing and being neighbourly, they chose to adapt the exciting format of the Amazing Race into an interactive trivia-style race for kids and adults alike!

Using the $750 from ActivateYYC, Mount Pleasant obtained a Street Use permit and bought prizes to give to the winners. Around 35 people came out to be part of this event that encouraged collaboration, competition and camaraderie. There was a high level of enthusiasm and competitive spirit throughout the entire event!
