Meet the Ministers a Huge Success

On Wednesday, May 26th The Federation of Calgary Communities was pleased to welcome members of Alberta’s Cabinet as well as a number of MLAs from the Calgary area.

The Federation was happy to play a role in bringing these two groups together and to offer Calgary’s community association presidents and representatives the opportunity to discuss, one on one, the important issues affecting our province and city with the people that are making the decisions.

A big thank you to the Winston Heights Mountview community association for hosting the event at the hall. As WHMCA President DJ Kelly pointed out it was really telling of the importance of community associations when the hall is full on a Wednesday night, with a special needs sing along group in one room, a small not for profit meeting in the board room and over 100 people from the community meeting with over 30 MLAs and cabinet ministers in the main hall. Stay tuned for more great upcoming events!
