Plan It Calgary Summit
November 14, 15 and 16, 2008
Beginning in September, the Plan It Calgary Project will send out a Call for Registrations for the Plan It Calgary Summit that will take place November 14, 15, and 16 2008. This 3-day Summit is an opportunity for you to have your say about how you would like to see your community and The City grow in the future. There will be opportunities to:
Learn about the Plan It Calgary project and how it will influence how The City will grow in the future;
Hear from international experts about how cities are adapting to land use and transportation challenges;
Find out what fellow Calgarians have said in surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions that have been conducted over the past year;
Have your say about land use and transportation and land use priorities for the City in the future provide feedback on how your community could evolve over the long term and how it relates to The City as a whole in a hands on big map multi-day workshop; and
Provide feedback on how your community could evolve over the long term and how it relates to The City as a whole in a hands on big map multi-day workshop.
This event will be comprised of a series of events including:
Opening reception;
Plenary presentations;
Big Map hands on drawing workshop and open house;
Gallery of past work and ‘as produced’ materials from the summit; and
Interactive feedback sessions.
